Love all of Mayer Hawthorne’s latest moves:

Jaded Incorporated’s 'Coconut Sofa.'

The split 7” record for Record Store Day with Shintaro Sakamoto, on which he covers 'In A Phantom Mood' writing his own English lyrics.

Fan of all three of these, but my favorite is the vinyl only bonus track for his Where Does This Door Go LP, “Physicality.”

Every time I listen to this, I can’t get over how cool it feels - in and outside the context of the Swing Lo Magellan LP tracklisting.  On one hand, this is a badass way to start an album. On the other, this is a significant piece of art - an ode to the way the Dirty Projectors do their thing.

Also, it was only on the 26th listen to this that I got over the chord choices and really listened to the lyrics. The complexity is f’n captivating.

Pharrell ft. Justin Timberlake - Brand New

I’m gonna need Pharrell back on the boards for JT’s next LP.  Undeniable chemistry between the two of them. The whole P record is big all around. Really great.

She’s back… So ready for this. Vocals over everything. Props to Da Internz on production. JoJo’s take on Anita Baker’s ‘Caught Up in the Rapture of Love’.

Kiing’s does it again. Some of their best work yet, featuring Rae Cassidy of San Fermin.

Fun cut from Max Frost. His Low High Low EP is pretty great.
